Winterization livelihoods support for livestock 2023-2024

Dear beneficiaries, applications for the 2023-2024 Livestock Preparation for Wintering Program are now closed.

Estonian Refugee Council implements a winterization program during the 2023-2024 winter season. The objective of the program is to restore or sustain the conflict-affected agricultural livelihoods in the hromadas which are listed below. 300 households will receive grants of up to 30,000 UAH to meet their immediate basic agricultural needs for the upcoming winter.

What can assistance be used for?

Assistance can be received for the following activities:

  • Rehabilitation of animal shelter/barn (up to 15,000 UAH)
  • Animal feed (up to 15,000 UAH)
  • Veterinary services (up to 5,250 UAH)

It is expected that the project will reduce or mitigate winter impacts on livestock and poultry, strengthen vulnerable conflict-affected households' self-reliance, and contribute to their economic capacity.

Who can participate?

  • Zaporizhzhska oblast Zaporizhzhskyi rayon
  • Mykolaiv oblast Bashtanskyi rayon
  • Kharkivska oblast Kupyanskyi rayon, Shevchenkivska hromada
  • Kharkivska oblast Chyhyivskyi rayon, Slobozhanska hromada

The pre-approval decision is made on the basis of the information provided by the main applicant representing the household.
